Welcome to our in-house childcare center!

 

Southwestern Little Wildcat Center (SLWC) is an on-site childcare program located in the Southwestern Elementary School building serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

​

SLWC offers full-time (4-5 days per week) and part-time (1-3 days per week) care, as well as before and after school care, and summer care for school age children.

​

The purpose of the Southwestern Little Wildcat Child Care Center (“SLWC” or “center”) is to provide quality, nurturing, affordable care for the children of the immediate and surrounding communities in an environment that supports the development and growth of each child.

 

SLWC will provide opportunities for children to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally through both structured programming and organized play that

incorporates resources and support from the Southwestern School District and the larger community.

Morning Care 

6:00am—8:00am

Afternoon Care 

3:10pm—6:00pm Mon.—Thur. 

2:00pm—6:00pm Fridays

• A healthy snack will be provided to all students. 

• Staffing will consist of a teacher and assistant from the childcare center. 

• Staff will help students complete homework while in the program.

 

Billing

• Parents will be billed weekly. 

• Charges will be $3.00 per hour, per child, billed in one hour increments. 

 

Pick-Up Time

• Parents will be required to pick-up their children no later than 6:00 p.m. 

• Any child picked up after 6:00 p.m. will be charged $3 per minute.

Additional information

• Drop-ins for the 2022-2023 school year will not be accepted. All attendees must be registered in advance. 

• Cat Care is located in the activity room. Parents will need to enter through the childcare entrance, door 10, in the back side of the school. 

• Enrollment numbers will be capped to ensure the safety of the students and staff.
