Better Business Bureau Student of Integrity Scholarships

Integrity is to practice honest and ethical behavior. BBB Serving Wisconsin awards high school seniors planning to attend a Wisconsin college with the Student of Integrity Scholarship for demonstrating these behaviors. As these ethical scholarship recipients pursue their careers, the BBB aims to develop future business leaders who promote ethics and honesty in the Wisconsin marketplace.

Tri-County Human Resources Association Scholarship ($1000)

TCHRA [www.tricountyhra.com/] in Platteville has created a business scholarship opportunity. Open to graduating Seniors from Lafayette, Grant, or Iowa Counties. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Medical Associates Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) scholarship

Midwest Medical Center Medical Education Financial Assistance Program

There are five loan/scholarship programs available through Midwest Medical Center to provide financial assistance
to persons pursuing an education in a medical field at an accredited school of the student’s choice.
Persons planning to enter careers in nursing, physical therapy, medicine, dentistry, as well as careers in related
technical fields, such as radiology, laboratory, or some other qualifying medical profession are eligible to apply. All loan/scholarship applications must be submitted to the Hospital. PDF

Southwest Health Foundation

The Southwest Health Foundation is offering scholarship funds to students pursuing a healthcare career. To be eligible for the scholarship candidates must either:

  • be a graduating high school senior and reside within the communities of Platteville, Cuba City, Belmont, Livingston, Mineral Point, Montfort, Rewey, Dickeyville, Hazel Green, Potosi, Benton and Shullsburg.

Joseph L. Runde Memorial Scholarship

Available to students from: Belmont High School, Benton High School, Cuba City High School, Platteville High School, Potosi High School, Shullsburg High School, Southwestern High School.

Eligibility: Established to assist worthy graduating female seniors from Hazel Green, Belmont, Benton, Cuba City, Platteville, Potosi, or Shullsburg High Schools who intend to pursue a degree (university, college or technical school) in the field of healthcare sciences. The applicant must have achieved a high school cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).

Grand River Medical Group Scholarship

We are offering three $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who have an interest in healthcare or a health-related field.

Certified Medical Assistant Scholarship

This scholarship is a 100% tuition assistance scholarship for the 2022-2023 school year at Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC), in Peosta, IA for their Medical Assistant Program.

Grant County Dairy Herd Improvement Association Scholarship

This is a cash scholarship given to a deserving student.  This will be given out at the annual meeting set for Feb. 19, 2020.  Deadline: January 31st.  Download application.

Wisconsin Cattlemen's Scholarship Program

Scholarships are available to any high school senior enrolled or planning to enroll in any university, technical college, a community college in the United States, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course Program. Due February 18, 2020.

Grant County Cattlemen's Scholarship

Three $500 scholarships will be awarded. Must be a resident of Grant County, Wi, and have a background in beef, veal or dairy industry. Student can be entering any year of college. Applications are due April 1, 2023.

Grant County Farm Bureau

Open to high school senior students residing in Grant County. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a post-secondary education in an agricultural field.  The applicant or their parent(s)/guardian(s) MUST be a Grant County Farm Bureau member. Grant County Farm Progress Days

Wisconsin Bankers Foundation - Agricultural Banking Scholarship

The Wisconsin Bankers Foundation is accepting applications for its Agricultural Banking Scholarship, which is offered every year. This scholarship program is open to all students attending an accredited Wisconsin college, university, or technical college who are interested in pursuing a career in agricultural banking.

AUTOMOTIVE/DIESEL TECH

Foundation of WATDA

The Foundation of Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association awards 70 to 90 scholarships per year to students attending Wisconsin Technical Colleges for Automotive, Diesel, Auto Collision and Motorcycle technician programs.

Over the past three years, the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarship packages to 230+ students pursuing an automotive, collision, or diesel education at one of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges.  In 2021 alone, we awarded approximately $700,000 in scholarship packages to more than 90 students. 

This year again, they are proud to announce the scholarship application process is open for students who will be attending Wisconsin technical colleges starting in the fall. 

We will start screening applications as soon as they are submitted, but the deadline in Januar.  See the link weblink below.  

WATDA Foundation Scholarship​

SKILLED TRADES

Inspection Support Network Scholarship

$2,000 ISN Scholarship occurs four times a year and is open to high school seniors and current college students.

This is a scholarship for skilled trades and technology students. You can find all the information related to the scholarship at the link below. 

application dates are as follows:

  • Spring Contest Cycle: April 17 - July 17 of each year.

  • Summer Contest Cycle: July 18 - October 14 of each year.

  • Fall Contest Cycle: October 15 - January 15 of the following year.

  • Winter Contest Cycle: January 16 - April 16 of each year

Entries are now being accepted for the Winter scholarship, which runs from July 18, 2021-October 14, 2021.

BOOM & BUCKET Student Scholarship Program

Boom & Bucket is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded each year to a student pursuing a heavy machinery themed program. This scholarship is available to both currently enrolled students and future students who are planning to attend a program within the next 12 months. The program can be at a college or a trade school anywhere in the United Sates or Canada.

To apply, students must write a 500+ word essay or record a 2-minute video explaining who you are and what makes you excited about the heavy equipment space. Please submit your application by 12:00PM central time on June 15th of each calendar year. Winners will be chosen by July 15th. The winning scholarship will be paid directly to the school as a tuition payment.

Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship Program

We are proud to continue providing support for students seeking to pursue career or technical education in a post-secondary environment. This program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.  

Criteria:

  • High school or equivalent completion by July 1

  • Be enrolled in an associates, certificate, or diploma program leading to employment (may not be enrolled in pre-requisite courses)

  • Attend a not-for-profit school

  • Demonstrate financial need (Family income under $55,000 OR Pell eligibility)

  • US citizenship

  • Student is under the age of 35

The application is now open to students who are currently enrolled or will enroll at a community college/technical center in pursuit of a technical degree. Applicants may apply online at CTE Application with a priority deadline of June 15th.

This year, we will award 500 new CTE scholarships to help students pursue their programs at community colleges and non-profit technical institutions with a maximum award amount of $2,500 depending on the length of program and need of the student.

Coulee Region Sierra Club Wisconsin

New for 2021-2022, CRSC will recognize the achievements of and award $150 to a high school senior who demonstrates leadership, action, and environmental stewardship, and who understands the importance of civic engagement in protecting our environment. 

Eligible students are those graduating from high school in 2022 who reside in the CRSC region: Crawford, Grant, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau, and Vernon counties. Will go to three (3) deserving graduates of any accredited Wisconsin high school the sum of $1000.00 to be applied to the cost of continuing education at any degree-granting college or university within the United States of America.

MEUW Scholarship - Electrical Distribution

Students going into the electric field can apply for this scholarship as the Village provides their own power.
MEUW has created a “Powering Futures” Scholarship Fund to support students pursuing careers in electrical power distribution.  The scholarship fund was established in conjunction with the association's 90th anniversary and benefits students who live in one of the 81 public power communities across Wisconsin. High School STEM Scholarship for Aspiring Commercial Drone Pilots

Supports high school students ages 16 and up who are serious about learning how to fly drones commercially by providing free access to Drone Pilot Ground School, a remote test prep course to help students prepare for the FAA’s Part 107 exam to become a commercial drone pilot. Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship

The Iowa Credit Union Foundation offers Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarships to credit union members pursuing post-secondary education.

There are two scholarship categories:

  • High School Scholarship: Designated for high school seniors planning to enter college in 2020.

  • Post-High School Scholarship: Designated for individuals entering or attending an accredited undergraduate, graduate or vocational program in 2020.

The association has decided to award four $250 scholarships each year.  The application process is open to any high school/college student, with special preference for those that are either involved with a fire or EMS department or the family member of a firefighter or EMS provider.

WiRSA Scholarship (Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance)

The WiRSA (Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance) Senior Scholarship and Senior Post-Secondary Teacher Education Scholarship are due Monday, February 20, 2023.

The WiRSA (Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance) senior scholarship application process has slightly changed. 

• Each school district will continue to screen and evaluate local applications and choose a single semi-finalist.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide four-year need-based merit scholarship providing each recipient with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free, providing up to $6,000 each semester. After graduation from college Hagan Scholars can apply for a two-year extension of their scholarship to attend graduate school or a professional school, receiving $6,000 each semester.

Basic Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must attend an eligible public high school

  2. Must have achieved a 3.5 GPA

  3. Must enroll in an eligible college or university

  4. Must maintain a 4 year or less graduation schedule

  5. Applicant’s Adjusted Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not Exceed $85,000.

Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship

The purpose of the Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship program is to recognize student leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement, and academic achievement. 

Online applications for the 2022 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Excellence Scholarship can now be submitted at http://www.kohleducation.org. A total of 100 students will be selected to receive $10,000 scholarships from among all applicants throughout the state. Applicants must be residents of Wisconsin who will graduate from high school in 2022, and plan to continue their education at a college, university, or vocational/technical school. Students will be evaluated on academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, and school and community activities.

Completed online applications are due on November 16, 2021 at 5 p.m. central time. Students should go to http://www.kohleducation.org/studentexcellence/  to learn more and apply. 

Dupaco Community Credit Union (20@ $2000) 

Online applications are now available at Dupaco.com/scholarships and eligible students can submit their application by February 23, 2023.

Dupaco has expanded their scholarship program and now will be awarding a total of $60,000 to thirty students in three separate scholarship programs. The expanded scholarship program now includes opportunities for both first-time, incoming students as well as current college students returning for the next academic year:

First-Year Students

  • 4-Year College/University Program: Ten $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to first-time, full-time students entering a four-year college or university for the 2023/2024 academic year.

  • Community College/Trade School Program: Ten $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to first-time students entering a community, technical, or trade school for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Current College Students

  • Current College Student Scholarship Program: Ten $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to students currently enrolled and attending a college/university, community college, or trade school as an undergraduate student and will return for the 2023/2024 academic year. Student can be working towards an undergraduate degree or a certificate. Current high-school students earning college credits as part of high school curriculum should apply for “First-Year Students” scholarship listed above.

DuTrac Community Credit Union Academic Scholarship Program awards up to seven $1000 non-renewable scholarships to qualified students who plan to attend a community college, trade school, technical college or university.

  • Entrants must be classified as a high-school senior and be accepted as an incoming freshman at an accredited community college, trade school, technical college or university.

Horatio Alger Association State Scholarship

State scholarships are awarded to eligible students in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.

To be eligible to apply for a Horatio Alger State Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria*:

  • Be enrolled full-time as a high school junior in the United States

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
