The School Counseling Program is committed to supporting the academic, personal, social, and future success of every student. Through a comprehensive approach, we provide services that foster growth in three key areas: academic achievement, personal and social development, and college and career readiness.

Support is delivered through individual counseling, small group sessions, classroom lessons, and school-wide initiatives—all designed to meet students where they are and help them thrive.

Our ultimate goal is to empower students to reach their full potential, build confidence in their abilities, and grow into resilient, lifelong learners.

School Counselor Can Help

  • Understanding and managing your emotions
  • Building positive relationships and working well with others
  • Learning effective problem-solving & decision-making skills
  • Setting personal goals and staying motivated to achieve them
  • Exploring college and career options through guidance on applications, scholarships, and career paths

Services Provided

  • Providing short-term individual & group counseling*
  • Delivering classroom lessons aligned with student success standards
  • Referring students and families to long-term or specialized support services
  • Collaborating with families, teachers, administrators, and community partners to promote student success
  • Advocating for students during student-centered discussions
  • Helping students with academic planning and setting personal goals

*Please note that school counselors do not provide therapeutic services. Counseling at school will be brief and solution focused. Groups will be educational in nature. Referrals for outside support are available if additional support is needed.
